The Battle of Little Big Horn

George Custer, was a unite States Army officer who won fame as a Civil War general and an Indian mavin in the West. Custer is best know for his role in the Battle of the Little Bighorn on June 25, 1876, in the Montana grease. In this battle, Sioux and capital of Wyoming Indians killed Custer and in exclusively of the men under his designate command. The Battle of the Little Bighorn became famous because of disagreement everywhere the reasons for Custers defeat.         Marcus Reno, was a United States Army officer who also became known for his role in the Battle of the Little Bighorn in Montana Territory in 1876. Reno and Custer were supposed to be a team, but when Reno completed that they were out numbered, he was basically liable for the death of Custer and all of his men. The sad part about this was that he thought that h e would be able defeat them with his 47 men, but they were all killed also.         On the morning of June 25, Custers men launch an Indian settlement about 15 miles away. It laid in the valley on the Little Bighorn River. Custer expected to give away about 1,000 Indian warriors. He believed his 650 soldiers could easily capture the village.

However, the encamp really had at least 2,000 Sioux and Cheyenne warriors. This group, whose leaders include Crazy Horse, Gall, and academic session Bull, was probably the largest gathering of Indian warriors in Western history.
